Hello everyone, this is Mariah Cruz and you’re listening to the Spiritual Deep Dives Podcast. What if Earth was once scheduled for destruction—and only one divine being stood in the way? We reveal the untold story of Sanat Kumara and the 144,000 who saved our planet.

Thank you for joining us in this series of the teachings by the ascended masters.

We left off in Episode Seven with the Fourth Root Race, who were on the planet tens of millions of years ago and had experienced a massive infiltration by the fallen ones. We mentioned that the cosmic hierarchy were watching these things play out and discussing what it was they were going to do about it.

So that’s where we’ll continue. Earth’s evolutions were having a lot of issues. They could not get out of the maya they were in, a maya they actually put themselves into.

The cosmic hierarchy was watching these life-waves spiraling downward and downward so were trying to decide what to do with planet Earth that had gone into a devolution. The decision of course, rested on the fact that at this particular time in cosmic history, all of the evolutions that were present on this planet had lost the divine spark completely. There was not one soul during the time of Lemuria millions of years ago that had a divine spark. All were lost.

Now what we are about to reveal next is the full story of what really happened to the evolutions of Earth.

So here we go. The ascended masters revealed that, as a result of the loss of the divine spark, mankind on this planet actually descended to the level of what we will generally term as caveman. Instead of the souls of light who were assigned to this planet raising themselves up and out of the maya they were in, they spiraled downward into a de-evolution. Man’s evolution actually reversed course until they were almost at an animal state, perhaps even lower than Homo habilis, the earliest documented representative of our genus. This is a stunning revelation.

We want to point out that there would be an interesting conundrum for archaeologists had they been privy to this information. If you had the population of a planet at the level of caveman or lower, and here they come in present time uncovering the remains of where we now know humanity had devolved to, would they have questioned if they discovered the beginnings of our evolution or would they have concluded that they really unearthed the remains of the very lowest that man had descended to. Obviously, we know that historians interpret this time period as the very beginning. 

So we were at this level of caveman and our planet was also heavily populated. This is another revelation.

You might think there were only a few thousand people running around on Lemuria and other continents but actually there were probably billions of people inhabiting the planet. We’re not saying it was the about the 8.2 billion people we have now. The ascended masters never gave us a figure, but we know Earth was heavily populated at that time.

So humanity was at the lowest level of human evolution and the cosmic councils knew that they had lost their divine spark. Now we might ask, “Why didn’t the cosmic council and the great divine beings intercede before this happened? Why would they let man descend this low?” This is a very good question.

Well, from what we’ve been told, there is such a thing called “the law of octaves”. Man was given free will, and the cosmic hierarchy respects that free will. If the evolutions of Earth en masse, probably millions, had asked for divine aid and intercession, it would have been forthcoming. But because of the law of octaves and the fact that they had dominion over the Earth as mentioned in Genesis, by their free will, they made of Earth what they wanted and God did not intercede. It’s worth noting here that the three previous Root Races each created a Golden Age on Earth and its inhabitants remained at a very high state of consciousness. As a result, their entire race ascended back to God having fulfilled their divine plans.

So if the cosmic hierarchy would have stepped in, they would be interfering with their free will and they wouldn’t learn anything. They might complain that they were being forced to be good. But in fact, their decision and effort to raise themselves back up in spiritual vibration had to be by their free will.

But once they got to the point where the divine spark had gone out, the soul’s ability to connect with the higher sources they originally had was no longer available to them. So the evolutions were in a very sad state.

So, what happened? The purpose of any planet is to be a platform of evolution where its races rise higher and higher in cosmic consciousness and become basically masters and gods. Well, the cosmic council responsible for the Earth held a big meeting. They decided that since there was not one soul with a threefold flame, there is no reason for Earth to exist anymore.

They may have to have the planet destroyed and start all over again with these evolutions, if that was even possible. Otherwise, everyone would be annihilated because there’s no flame, nothing to be preserved there. This is part of the impersonal aspect of cosmic law.

So, when you have a condition that’s patently obvious, cosmic law says that the heavenly councils need to look at the situation and see whether or not it can be remedied.

We were told by the ascended masters that part of cosmic law required that someone of very high attainment would need to intervene for the planet if it would be spared. So, there was an individual who stepped forth on behalf of planet Earth in it’s darkest hour and his name is Sanat Kumara.

Sanat is spelled S-A-N-A-T and Kumara is spelled K-U-M-A-R-A. His name is Sanskrit for “always a youth” or “eternal youth.”

So who is Sanat Kumara? He is the hierarch of the planet Venus, which is on the third ray of divine love. Venus is a very advanced planet, far more evolved than Earth. The akashic records tell us that the cosmic council met and Sanat Kumara said, “Do not destroy planet Earth. I will go there. I will save the evolutions. I will go down myself, hold the balance, and attempt to save this whole planet and all its evolutions, and bring them back to their original state.”

Now, he didn’t have to do this. This was a free-will choice that was made by an extremely advanced cosmic being. But by coming to save the planet, he took the light from his own divine spark and as a very thin filigree thread, connected the flame, the fire, the light of his heart to every living soul on Earth.

We say “living soul” loosely here because without the divine spark mankind was not truly alive in the spiritual sense. Once you lose the divine spark, you may still be alive in the physical sense, you have a heartbeat, you’re walking around, you’re breathing, everything is still functioning, but you have no light. You cannot move in any direction spiritually but down.

So this great being connected the light from his heart to all of the evolutions on this planet. You might ask, “Did he come alone?” Well on Venus, Sanat Kumara was a great guru and Bodhisattva, and he had hundreds of thousands of disciples under him who loved him deeply.

It so happened that there was a mandala, or group of souls on Venus called the 144,000, a number mentioned in the Book of Revelation. On hearing of his sojourn to Earth, this group of people surrounded Sanat Kumara and said, “We will come with you. We will take incarnation. We will take on bodies as soon as those bodies become more developed.” Remember, mankind were at the evolutionary level of Homo habilis or lower.

So these 144,000 volunteered to come to Earth with Sanat Kumara. Initially, 400 souls from this mandala came ahead of time. These 400 actually built a retreat and a city for Sanat Kumara called Shamballa, a term most people are familiar with especially in the East. This was his retreat, and we understand it was physically built by these 400 over the course of several centuries.

But they faced opposition from the individuals who were on the planet at the time. These beings who came with Sanat Kumara were very advanced and had tremendous attainment. They represented an opposition to what had been going on on this planet because finally something was being done to raise these evolutions back up to their former state.

So there were very advanced souls embodying in physical forms that they were not used to. On Venus they had very light spiritual bodies. We are mentioning this so you might appreciate the level of sacrifice these beings made by going into an extremely dense physical form. Imagine the freedom you had in the higher spiritual octaves on Venus and then entering into a physical body much lower on the scale of evolution, being faced with all it’s extreme limitations.

Now, anticipating the eminent coming of Sanat Kumara, some of the 144,000 decided to wait in their spiritual bodies on the higher etheric planes of Earth until the bodies on the physical plane improved somewhat. Once they developed sufficiently, it was considered “safe” for the remainder of this retinue and others to incarnate.

We also understand that some of the angelic hosts who did NOT fall with Lucifer also decided they, too wanted to go to Earth and become teachers. They wanted to help Sanat Kumara raise the consciousness of the planet Earth. So, on top of the 144,000, there were volunteers from the angelic hosts and also others from various planets of the Light that came to help.

But they didn’t jump into a spaceship to come here. They came through reincarnation. They came down here taking their part as servants and teachers. And many of these original people are still here today. This took place millions of years ago, but they have continued to reincarnate through time because their mission is not yet fulfilled. Think about it: You may be one of the original 144,000 or others who came with Sanat Kumara to rescue the planet!

We have not yet had the full victory, but there has yet been a tremendous amount of victory on Earth. If you look at Earth today and the way we appear compared to the time of caveman, we’ve evolved tremendously, thank God.

This evolutionary/spiritual change is a direct result of the coming of Sanat Kumara, the Lords of Form and other beings who also came. And, after many centuries they did improve the race so that we now appear to be in the archetypal form again.

So you can just imagine the scene: millions of angels volunteering from all over the various systems of worlds, from the Milky Way Galaxy, from Andromeda, all gathering. The word had now spread like fire throughout the heaven world that a Kumara had come forward to save planet Earth.

The mission was moving on. They were not going to stand for this evolution to just waste away into nothingness and devolve. They were going to improve the race and incarnate among those people. This was a tremendous process. It was the raising back up of consciousness as well as the raising of the physical form. It was a massive reversal of devolution. 

It’s worth noting here that angels have the ability, if they want to volunteer, to come to Earth as embodied angels. Many of the great masters we know of today actually came to Earth from angelic bands or from other more evolved planets. Many of these angels became the great avatars we know of throughout recorded history who came and taught mankind in order to raise the consciousness of the planet.

All of this was due to Sanat Kumara’s sacrifice. And he had his own disciples who came with him including Gautama Buddha and Lord Maitreya.

Before moving on, we just wanted to mention that if you were to Google “Shamballa” and “Sanat Kumara,” you would find references in Vedic literature regarding the focus of Shamballa that was located over the Gobi Sea in China, which today we know of as the Gobi Desert.

The Gobi Sea was magnificent and in the middle was a White Island known as Shamballa which is where Sanat Kumara and his initial entourage dwelled. Soon after, others began embodying, not just on that island but spreading throughout the planet.

The 144,000 were generally called “lightbearers.” They were not a root race but had great attainment, Light and divine consciousness. But they themselves didn’t necessarily fully understand what they were getting into by volunteering to embody here.

When someone with tremendous attainment incarnates into the lower evolution that we have described, the very presence and power of those beings in those bodies produces a raising action in and of itself, starting at the molecular and atomic levels. This is how renewal began.

Now, continuing our story: After the coming of Sanat Kumara things began spreading out. The race was improving, things were looking up. There was hope for planet Earth and her evolutions.

But the fallen ones who engineered the whole devolution of man were not just going to sit around and watch it happen. Why would they take that? They knew what was happening and they couldn’t stop it which made them even more enraged. So they tried to seduce these lightbearers to engage in their way of life. They started implanting seeds of pride and rebellion.

This is a volunteer mission by the lightbearers and the fallen ones were trying to take advantage over them. Unfortunately, they were successful to a very large extent, though in other cases they were not.

So centuries and perhaps thousands of years passed by. The civilization on Lemuria began to improve but the fallen ones were still present. But as mentioned, certain lightbearers begin to fall prey to the machinations of the fallen ones and their distorted rhythms.

They also got the lightbearers to take drugs to bring their energy down so it could be siphoned off, something we talked about in the last episode. Basically, there’s nothing new under the sun. If we look at the history of the planet, more noticeably from the 1960s on, we will see that they’re employing the same tactics they used on Lemuria and Atlantis.

We just want to interject something here regarding the lightbearers succumbing to the plots of the fallen ones. The cosmic council knew this would probably happen. They knew that when we go down to the level of the evolutions that were on this planet at that time, we were going to get stuck. They knew that tens of thousands of years would go by where we might be trapped in a very compromised situation.

It’s not like these cosmic beings were naive and thought, “Well, let’s just go down there, and every thousand years we’ll break through, and everything will be fine.” We’re saying this again so you understand the incredible awareness they had, and the sacrifice required by lightbearers knowing they would be stuck on Earth for tens of thousands of years. But they knew that eventually the light within the body would raise the consciousness back up. 

This is the power of love, the love that Sanat Kumara holds for all of us. He is known as the Great Bodhisattva. A bodhisattva is a being who lives and breathes for the saving of all sentient beings throughout the universe. They desire to save all sentient life, no matter how far it has fallen. The bodhisattva says, “There is some seed of light that can sprout within these evolutions of darkness. We will hold the balance. We will use love.”

The planet Venus is the planet of love, and these angels, the 144,000, had so much love that it counteracted the fear of, “Maybe we shouldn’t go down there, maybe we shouldn’t help.” Their love was greater and they also knew that ultimately the Light of God does win, once all cycles are complete.

This may take millions of years. Some people say, “Well, I don’t see any victories.” But we have to look at this as a long-term mission, we have to see the big picture. Ultimately, there is nothing of evil that can be sustained forever whether you’re talking about a solar system, a planet, or an individual. At the end of a certain cycle, it’s over and the fallen ones must either be re-polarized or annihilated, but that’s another story for later.
